There are certain songs that inspire a sense of longing in us. These songs open our ears to the calling of the open road, igniting a wanderlust you may not have known you had.
Music takes on a certain meaning depending on the person. Some songs are universal, but others are influenced by where you were when you first heard them. The following songs are some of my favorites to listen to whether I’m packing, staring out the window from a plane, or watching the city lights pass me by.
Some of these remind me of why I travel. Others remind of specific places. Still others of certain nights spent dancing to the pulse of the city. Whatever the reason, they echo with the voice of the road.
